TARAPUR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY (TSDS) is the platform of materialization of the dream which a group of social activists from West Bengal have seen, became true in the year 2001. Since its formation the activists are carrying the torch of education to eradicate illiteracy and plans in their hands to spread the light of development in their villages. Since its formation the organization has concentrated towards the sustainable development of different vulnerable sections of the society with their prime focus on women and children. Keeping this in mind we have undertaken promotion of self-help groups among the poor and marginal women in the villages and organizing them for Income Generation activities through Vocational Training. Another step towards rural development taken by us is involvement in the NABARD sponsored project of SHG Digitization in Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal. Today the organization is not only working in the field of spreading education but also making people aware towards their better health care, Child Rights, sanitation, earnings, energy conservation techniques and their proper usage etc. With the mentioned vision and mission, the organization is presently moving forward and will keep on its journey for the development of the village people.
